Meeting Minutes – August 16, 2013
The meeting was called to order by President Dick Bowen
after Saturday morning breakfast. The August trip had 7 rigs present: Bowen,
Freed, Halstead, Messerle, Soden/Wilson, Tolson, and Welford. It was held at
Country Way campground in Luray, VA
Thanks to the Trip Captains: The Messerles and Soden/Wilson
Old Business:
Secretary’s and Treasurer’s reports was emailed to everyone
after the July Campout. Both reports
were approved as emailed.
New Business:
Volunteers were asked for the Nominating Committee for 2014
elections. The positions open are Vice
President, and Secretary/Treasurer. The
committee consists of Mem, Brad, and Chuck.
Elections will be held at the September campout.
September campout will be held at Small Country. The dates
for the campout are Sept. 20 – Sept. 22. Carol has emailed the information.
October will be at Grey’s point. The dates for the campout
are Oct. 19 – Oct. 21. Sandy has emailed
the information.
Christmas Party: The date for the Christmas party is Sunday,
December 8th. It has been
decided to hold the party at a local restaurant. Sharon and Craig are going to contact Vita
Felice and Brocks to see if they can accommodate our group. It has been
suggested to have the ODC treasury help pay for the cost of the meal. More details will follow. We will still
participate in Toys for Tots. Larry
Welford will make sure the toys get delivered.
