The October campout was at Grey's Point Campground. The Hosts for this Campout were Sharon & Jeff Lawrence, Mem & Larry Halstead and Randy & Linda Burdette. 12 sites were reserved for ODC on Oct 28-30, 2016. The
sites # were Rockfish 29 - Spadefish 40.
The cost of the 2 nights was $94.77 total. However, we had 10 people sign up so they gave us a 10%
discount. For the people that went on Thursday, the cost was $40.00 and the same
for adding Sunday night. The deadline for holding
the sites wass Sept 15th and after that people were placed wherever there were
spots available.

The costume theme this year: a child six years or under.
Everyone brought candy to hand out to the kids during the costume parade.
Some folks brought baby pictures for the baby contest to see who could guess who was who from the pictures.
The menu was salad, bread and soups and cobbler for dessert.

Meeting Minutes – October 29, 2016
The meeting was called to order by Secretary/Treasurer, Rebecca Messerle. The October campout was held at Grey’s Point in Topping, VA. Those present were: Freed, Lawrence, Messerle, Halstead, Ross, McDonald, Burdette, Tolson, and Kuhne We welcomed new members, Ron and LaVerne Usher and Larry and Nancy Omps. Sandy and Cliff Roy joined us for Saturday dinner.
Thank you to hosts: Halstead, Lawrence and Burdette.
The Secretary’s report was emailed to everyone before the campout. Report was approved as sent.
Treasurer’s report was approved as sent.
Sunshine Lady’s Report: No update on Norah. Larry Welford recovering from surgery and doing well. Jim Settles recovering from surgery and doing well. Tolsons are doing well and joined us for the weekend.
Old Business:
Club T-shirts. Linda Burdette sent an email with the Land’s end information for anyone to purchase shirts of their choice. Also, the emblem is available if other vendors would like to be used.
Remember- We voted to have navy shirts for the club to wear during Good Sam’s Rallys. Land’s end would do baseball hats but need an order of at least 24. Not enough interest at this time for the hats.
The nominating committee made the following nominations:
Steve Winder will step down as V. President and run for President.
Jeff Lawrence will be appointed V. President for the remainder of Steve’s term.
The Halstead’s will run for Wagonmasters.
Election was held and the nominees were elected.
Christmas Party –
Cliff and Sandra Roy have reserved the Falls Run community center for the Christmas party. The date is December 11th at 2:00. We have the room from 2-6. Everyone can bring a dish to share. We will still collect toys for tots. More information will be emailed to members.
