Carol and Larry Welford, along with Sandy Freed will be your
trip captains for this weekend. We have chosen to travel to a park that
the Club has not visited in many years. We will be camping at Harpers
Ferry KOA in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. We have reserved 15 sites for
the group. All sites are full hookups and have 50 Amp service. All
sites are also pull thrus. We have been able to obtain a three night
special rate for the group.
Arrival will be on Thursday April 26th.
Check in time is after 1:00 PM. The sites we have reserved are shown in
light blue on the attached campground map.
As the time gets closer, we will send out another email with
the details on activities and meals.
The campground fee for the three night weekend is $144.16. This fee includes all taxes. The campground does have a charge for pets of $2 per pet per night. The Campground has agreed to let us use Cutler Hall for the weekend as long as they are not using it so we will have a place to gather in case of inclement weather.
Reservations for the weekend need to be made before March 15, 2018. Each member needs to call the campground directly at (304) 535-6895. Let them know that you are part of the group reserved under Sandy Freed’s name. Then please let either Larry, Carol or Sandy know that you have made a reservation so that we can plan food.
Harpers Ferry is an area rich in history with incredible scenery that offers a wealth of activities including hiking, cycling, rafting and climbing opportunities. There are restaurants, shops, art galleries, indoor and outdoor exhibits as well as the Civil War battlefield parks. This should be fun for everyone.
